Unfortunately someone wasn't paying attention when loading it with kayaks and the sides of a few boats sat on the tire for a 2 hour trip. we now have 3 boats with gaping holes in them. it isn't very likely that you'll have a kayak with such a large hole, but whatever the size, here's how to fix it.. Get a drill and drill a very small hole at both ends of the crack. all the following steps are done on the inside of the kayak or canoe. heat the repair area. use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the kayak (or canoe) plastic so that it is hot to the touch. if the cracks are visible on the outside or very large you might consider. For smallish holes you want to get some polyethylene welding rod (presuming the boat is polyethylene) for large holes you need to get a patch. the basic idea is to melt the rod into the hole using a hot air gun or hot metal. as you've melted two of the same material together this repair should be very strong..
