Warinanco park is a nicely sized park that actually borders a couple towns (roselle on one side, elizabeth on the other). i tend to enter on the elizabeth side where there's a giant pond in the center. it's an absolutely beautiful sight in the summer. also, you can paddleboat in the pond at $10 per person!. Warinanco refers to an indian who sold land to settlers. the city’s most extensive park. 1921--creation of the union county park system, first president henry summers chatfield (1864-1933), memorialized with a stone bench in warinanco park’s tulip garden.. Having worked at the skating rink over 35 years ago, i can tell you the park only get better! with the peddle boats in the water, the various areas for running, sports, as well as bbqing. can't go wrong with a day in the park..
