In 2008 century city canoe club (cty) was formed on the canals of century city, in 2010 a purely surfski club, cape town surfski was formed under the auspices of fish hoek beach sailing club. western cape canoe polo at the v&a waterfront as well as at century city (canoe polo development club) and khayalitsha canoe club, a purely development. There are many spots around the cape coast that one can launch from i.e three anchor bay, oceanna boat club in granger bay, hout bay, fish hoek, miller point,. there is nothing better than to play in the waves with your surfski. it has good strength building benefits..
